per nightWhale Rock is a modern apartment complex situated on the sea shore at the Margate fishing pier, with magnificent sea and breaker views. It has its own communal splash pool and there is a small beach across the road, but the Margate main beach, with its seasonal entertainment and a plethora of eateries, nightclubs, pubs and family activities are just a short stroll away.
This spacious second floor apartment is well appointed with stylish contemporary furniture and comfortably accommodates six adults in three bedrooms (main and second bedroom with double beds and the third bedroom with two singles). The main bedroom enjoys stunning views from the bed or indeed the bath or shower in the romantic open plan en-suite bathroom . There is a second full washroom with bath and shower.
The granite kitchen is fully equipped with all the day-to-day cooking amenities as well as a washing machine, and leads open plan over a breakfast counter to a spacious and comfortable lounge with flatscreen television, DSTV Premium Bouquet and DVD player. The adjoining partly covered entertainment patio is large, with comfortable el-fresco dining suite, fitted gas braai and fantastic views.
The unit is allocated secure parking in a private lock-up garage and a further covered parking bay, behind remote controlled gates. Linen is provided but guests should bring their own towels and toiletries. Daily servicing is not included but is available on request.
The local area offers an abundance of attractions and activities. With nine world class courses the area is popular with golfers; scuba divers flock to our world famous reefs and wrecks; and families charter ocean safaris, deep sea fishing or shark cage diving trips. The magnificent Oribi Gorge, a 400m deep and 5km wide canyon, offers spectacular view sites and game drives, as well as a host of adrenalin activities including the world's highest bungi swing and world's first 'straight-down' 1km zipline, abseiling down a waterfall, white water rafting, suspension bridges, downhill scooter tours, horse riding and 4X4. The Wild Coast Sun Casino is home to a water theme park with some of the world's fastest rides and their river club offers water skiing, jet skis, speedboats, tube rides and booze cruises. We have and butterfly, snake and crocodile farms with the world's oldest croc; the world's smallest desert; the only approved motor racing and drifting circuit in the province; and our local airport offers daily flights to Johannesburg and scenic helicopter flips over the area and adjacent wild coast. But most people visit simply for our perpetual warm weather and shark protected, world-class Blue Flag status beaches and lagoons with canoes, pedal boats, umbrellas and beach chairs for hire; and ice cream, cocktails and curios for sale. Host to the famous Sardine Run, the annual Bike Week spectacle and revolving beach events, there is never a dull moment on the Hibiscus Coast. Whether you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday, an adrenalin filled escapade, or a wining, dining, clubbing and pubbing shindig, the Hibiscus Coast offers it all, and more.
