Property description

Uvongo Chalets is a popular complex situated on the coastline along the seafront boulevard, favoured by walkers, runners and cyclists for its beautiful views.  The units are set amongst beautiful green lawns with a sparkling pool and a gate to the sea.  Uvongo beach with its newly renovated fishing pier, just a 500m stroll away, is favoured by locals and holidaymakers alike for its gentle waves and beautiful gorge setting, providing shelter from the wind and a spectacular waterfall gushing into a calm lagoon with canoe and pedal boats for hire.  It has a swimming and a tidal pool, restaurant, cafe, tuck shop and ice-cream parlour and is protected by lifeguards and shark nets.  

This spacious first floor family unit with lovely sea views and aircon comfortably accommodates six guests in three bedrooms (main bedroom with a double bed, second and third bedroom with two singles each). The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom (bath) and there is a second washroom with a shower.  The open plan kitchen is fully equipped for day to day cooking and there is a washing machine and washline for your convenience. It looks open plan across a breakfast counter to a comfortable lounge area which includes air-conditioning and flatscreen television with DSTV Decoder.  The lounge and two of the bedrooms lead through sliding doors onto a large sunny balcony with sea and breaker views and built-in braai.

There is a lock-up garage and an open parking bay allocated to the unit.  Bedding and linen is provided for six guests but up to eight guests (including children) are permitted.  Towels are not provided and the unit is not serviced unless by arrangement. The DSTV receives limited local channels but is upgradeable on request.       

The local area offers an abundance of attractions and activities.  With nine world class courses the area is popular with golfers;  scuba divers flock to our world famous reefs and wrecks;  and families charter ocean safaris, deep sea fishing or shark cage diving trips.  The magnificent Oribi Gorge, a 400m deep and 5km wide canyon, offers spectacular view sites and game drives, as well as a host of adrenalin activities including the world's highest bungi swing and world's first 'straight-down' 1km zipline, abseiling down a waterfall, white water rafting, suspension bridges, downhill scooter tours, horse riding and 4X4.  The Wild Coast Sun Casino is home to a water theme park with some of the world's fastest rides and their river club offers water skiing, jet skis, speedboats, tube rides and booze cruises.  We have and butterfly, snake and crocodile farms with the world's oldest croc;  the world's smallest desert; the only approved motor racing and drifting circuit in the province; and our local airport offers daily flights to Johannesburg and scenic helicopter flips over the area and adjacent wild coast.  But most people visit simply for our perpetual warm weather and shark protected, world-class Blue Flag status beaches and lagoons with canoes, pedal boats, umbrellas and beach chairs for hire; and ice cream, cocktails and curios for sale.  Host to the famous Sardine Run, the annual Bike Week spectacle and revolving beach events, there is never a dull moment on the Hibiscus Coast.
